A serious accident took place on Saturday in the German town of Bad Langensalza in the state of Thuringia, where seven people were killed when a driver with a license suspended for 16 years collided, according to reports. Nau.ch.
ok Build, the accused is a 45-year-old driver whose driver’s license has been suspended since 2007. Police confirmed the information to the German publication. The reason for cancellation of permission is not known.
The police believe that the driver who caused the accident was drunk and blood samples were taken from him. After the crash, multiple witnesses said the three occupants of the BMW that caused the head-on crash had been drinking in the parking lot earlier.
The accident took place on a long bend, when the BMW driver went in the wrong direction, Takes a Mercedes with 5 19-year-olds and a VW with two people.
Immediately after the collision, the Mercedes and VW caught fire.
All five people in the Mercedes, the driver of the VW and a passenger in the BMW died. The driver who caused the accident and two others were injured.
The crash happened Saturday afternoon on Highway 247 near the town of Bad Langensalsa. According to the build-up, the driver who caused the accident is being investigated for reckless homicide.
