Chicago man pleads guilty to attempted murder in WSP

Antonio James Sanders, 36, of Chicago entered a plea of not guilty and was sentenced last week to attempted murder in the second degree, first-degree aggravated robbery and second-degree aggravated robbery in connection with a series of armed robberies that occurred in the city of West St.

Atkins sponsors bill to provide extra body armor to troops

With approximately 2,600 Minnesota National Guard soldiers recently deployed to Iraq, Rep. Joe Atkins (DFL - Inver Grove Heights) is sponsoring bi-partisan legislation to provide an extra $1 million in personal body armor to members of the Minnesota National Guard.
