Arrest made following St. Anthony fire


An arrest has been made in relation to a July 5 fire at Equinox Apartments in St. Anthony. The fire burned early in the morning on the third floor of the complex, located in the 2800 block of Silver Lane, allegedly set by a woman targeting one of the building’s residents. (courtesy of Google Maps)

Celebrate community at Slice of Shoreview Days


The Slice of Shoreview Days annual parade always draws a big crowd. This year’s will take place on Saturday, July 27, starting at 10 a.m. at Victoria Street and County Road D, traveling north to Island Lake Park.

For three days this summer — July 26 to 28 — folks of all ages will have the opportunity to get out and celebrate what they love about their city at Slice of Shoreview Days 2019.

As senior population grows, so does the need for services


The East Side is served by two senior service nonprofits, North East Seniors for Better Living and East Side Elders. Both support seniors and their caregivers by providing resources like social events, transportation, wellness care, caregiver coaching, handyman services and other resources, with nearly all of it depending on volunteers. West St. Paul recognized with recent awards

Recently, the City of West St. Paul received two awards for work it has done.

Council member Lisa Eng-Sarne said the city received a City of Excellence Award from the League of Minnesota Cities for its inflow and infiltration work.
