Pioneers pummel Polars in boys hockey match-up

The Hill-Murray Pioneers picked up eight goals from seven separate players as they handed the North Polars an 8-1 setback Feb. 2 at Polar Arena.

The packed arena of mostly partisan North fans was silenced quickly as Hill-Murray scored early and finished late.

Tartan knocks Pioneers



Coming into the Feb. 3 girls basketball game at Tartan, the Hill-Murray Pioneers were 8-1 in Classic Suburban Conference play.

The Pioneers needed a victory over the league-leading Titans (9-0) to forge a share of the conference lead.
