In one of a series of weekly Friday evening ski jumping tournaments held under the auspices of the St. Paul Junior Ski Club, Tartan senior Johnny Lyons soared from the 45-meter Harrington Hill located in south Maplewood for a pair of 163-foot leaps.

Lake Elmo votes to keep mayor at 2-year term

A proposal to extend the term length for Lake Elmo’s mayor from two years to four was narrowly defeated on Jan. 17 when the City Council voted 3-2 in favor of retaining the existing policy.
