Looking backward - looking forward

We just enjoyed a beautiful weekend in my old hometown. So many things have changed. Fields where we plowed, cultivated, raised crops or mowed hay are now trees. Areas that were once woodlands are now farmed. Many of the old buildings along the old gravel roads are gone.
