Oak-Land Junior High Students of the Month

On Jan. 11, 37 students and their parents were honored at a Student of the Month breakfast in the Oak-Land cafeteria. Students received pens and certificates in recognition of their outstanding achievement, positive attitude, leadership and willingness to help others. This month, students were chosen in the areas listed below:

Art: Caitlin Finn, Jake Schmiesing and Jade Thomason; Band: Jacob Aronson, Asia Baggenstoss, Britta Gjermo, Victoria Kyllo, Jacob Malwitz, Cody Peterson, Matt Simonet and Mackenzie Voeller; Choir: Kaitlin Clum, Marriah Gibbons and Jonathon Price; Debate: Joseph Benert and Emma Morley; Family and Consumer Science: Kaitlyn Godbout, Brady Mahoney, Emily Ness, Sari Roby and Cody Tennant; Industrial Technology: Tony Carlson, Frank Falzone, Sam Graebner and Seth Spawn; Orchestra: Jessica Diggins, Kelly Erickson, Keegan Jones, Alison Mason, Taylor Nelson and Aliciea Vang; Theatre: Michael Adrian and Samantha Drinkwine; Video Production: Abdissa Dalu, Kayla McKenzie,

New ECFE classes are available

The Early Childhood Family Education program in School District 622 announce several new class offerings, including Daddy and Me, Threes to Fives and Play and Learn with Grandma or Grandpa. The weekly classes offer activities that promote a child’s development and school readiness. Stepping Stones Preschool has openings

District 622 has several openings beginning immediately in the Stepping Stones Preschool drop-off program for children ages 3 to 5. Classes are held at Gladstone Center, Beaver Lake Center and District 622 Education Center. Mornings, afternoons and evening classes are scheduled two or three days a week through May 2006. Inside this catalog are listings for more than 50 new classes for adults, a listing of the Winter Chautauqua series, special events, day trips and other Community Education program information.
