Daughters of the American Revolution meeting

The next meeting of the proposed National Society Daughters of the American Revolution chapter in Stillwater will be held on Thursday, Sept. 22 at 7 p.m. at Stillwater City Hall, 216 N. 4th Street. The program portion of the meeting will be a presentation by Anita Carter, recording secretary, of her collection of historical dolls sold by the group many years ago. New prospective members will be introduced and assistance will be offered to those who would like to join and need information on the membership process. The Daughters of the American Revolution is a non-profit, non-political 114-year-old service organization devoted to historical preservation, education and patriotic endeavor, open to all women 18 years of age and older who can prove a blood lineage to a patriot of the American Revolution. The group does not discriminate against color, race or creed. United States citizenship is not required for membership.
