Parties prepare for Super Tuesday

Precinct party caucuses are a week away on March 1 — Super Tuesday — when voters in Minnesota and 12 other states will caucus for presidential candidates, among other party business.

The events, which begin at 7 p.m., are run completely by state political parties and deal with internal party business so caucus rules and happenings will vary, district by district.

Roseville Review area Republicans and DFLers who plan to caucus likely live in either House District 42B or 66A; officials in both parties are expecting lots of caucus participation during this presidential election year.

Election 2015- District 282 candidates focus on closing achievement gap

Candidates running unopposed
Three-at-large seats are open for the St. Anthony-New Brighton Independent School District 282 Board, and three candidates are running. Cassandra Palmer, Andrea (Andie) Scamehorn and Michael Volna are up for election. Palmer is the only candidate running who is currently not on the board.

Bulletin area cities begin approving 2016 proposed tax levies

Cities are in the process of approving proposed tax levies for 2016. The levy numbers being approved are maximum increases — once approved, the numbers can be decreased but not increased before their final approval at the end of the year.
