Inver Grove Heights 7-year-old sings 'Let It Go' beyond her years at state fair

Cosette Jaeger, 9, left, and Montana Jaeger, 7, both of Inver Grove Heights, hold up their second and first place trophies, respectively, after sweeping the Dakota County Fair pre-teen talent competition this year. As the first-place finisher, Montana went on to perform "Let It Go" from Disney's "Frozen" at the Minnesota State Fair Aug. 23, representing Dakota County.

Love, leukemia and loss: Inver Grove Heights family's story becomes faith-based movie

Inver Grove Heights couple Bonnie and Dan Boyum's son, Michael Boyum, died Oct. 17, 1999 after a yearlong battle with leukemia. A movie is now being made about his life, especially his relationship with his childhood sweetheart, Michelle, whom he married just six weeks before he died. City plans to issue notices to residents with ash trees
At one point, the fear of a nationwide die-off of ash trees had the staff at Inver Grove Heights City Hall planning to remove all ashes growing on city property.
More recently, that plan has changed.

But the B-52 Burgers and Brew co-owner was thrust in front of multiple lenses on St. Patrick's Day, as the crew for the Travel Channel's "Food Paradise" show took over the Inver Grove Heights restaurant, capturing his burgers deemed worthy of national attention.


Inver Grove Heights marina braces for river to rise

City crews added more sandbags to a pile at Twin City Marina in Inver Grove Heights on Wednesday, June 25, bracing for the Mississippi River to crest in the next day or so. Since heavy rains began flooding the area last week, marina manager Jeff Holleschau and a handful of employees have been pulling 10- to 12-hour days, removing logs from the dock area and pumping water out of flooded areas, including a building basement. FBI investigates Inver Grove Heights bank robbery

The FBI is investigating a recent bank robbery in Inver Grove Heights, and searching for two male suspects who used a gun to demand and receive cash from a teller at Vermillion State Bank.
