South St. Paul public work employees were busy March 20 filling sandbags in preparation for possible flooding. The city is moving forward with flood preparedness and plans to install a flood wall on Hardman Avenue March 25. Volunteers and city employees filled sand bags to be placed around the flood wall. Predictions have water levels cresting as high as 705 feet on the Mississippi River in South St. Paul, where the top of the levy is 710 feet.
