NEWSBRIEF: Craig announces art competition

Congresswoman Angie Craig announced the start of her office’s Congressional Art Competition. The competition is designed to showcase the talented students of the 2nd District and highlight the importance of the arts to the Second District’s schools and communities.

“I am so thrilled to start the Congressional Art Competition in the 2nd District,” said Craig. “The arts play a vital role in the strength of our communities, and I hope students are inspired to deepen their commitment to the arts through participating in this competition.”

Submissions are open to all students currently enrolled in grades nine through 12 in Minnesota’s 2nd Congressional District. All artwork is due in Craig’s office by Wednesday, May 1. The winner will be displayed in the tunnel leading to the U.S. Capitol for one year. For more information on how to participate, please contact Mike Siebenaler at
