LETTER: Experience provides a solid foundation

To the Editor:


It’s been my honor serving as Washington County Commissioner representing District 2. I also serve as County Board Vice-Chair and expect, if re-elected, to become Board Chair in 2019.

Thank you for support winning the county commissioner election in 2016 and for my primary victory Aug. 14. I continue hard work serving you and campaigning to earn your vote for re-election Nov. 6. I hope to visit your door soon.

My background of 14 years elected experience on the Oakdale City Council and as Oakdale mayor has given me a solid foundation to effectively govern and serve our citizens.


• New 36/Hadley interchange 2019

• Inwood pedestrian bridge over I-94 2019

• Gold Line transit progress in development includes new Helmo bridge over I-94

• Reduced property tax rates while home values rise

• Improved 494/694/I-94 interchange, adding lanes to reduce congestion 2019

• Added Oakdale Library Sunday hours 2018


• Disciplined budgeting, low tax rates and levy, maintain highest AAA Bond rating

• Transportation, working for “new” 494/694/I-94 interchange, 36/120 interchange, Gold Line transit

• Attract top businesses/jobs helping keep residential property taxes low

• Superior libraries, parks, assure 3M settlement provides safe clean water for our future

I’m a proven contributor to our county’s positive future. Re-elected, I will continue dedicated full time service.
