LETTER: Committing to expand on the attributes of Washington County

To the Editor:

With the Primary Election now behind us, I first want to express my sincere appreciation to all of the people in District 2 who voted for me. I am excited by the strong show of support I’ve received at the polls and pledge to continue to work hard earning the trust of even more voters before the General Election this fall.

The voters in this district have opened their doors to me and understand the importance of local government in our daily lives. Emerging issues such as combating the opioid epidemic and securing the federal commitment of dollars to begin construction on the Gold Line BRT project in 2022 will take an energetic approach to the many challenges ahead. I’m a candidate with the commitment to deliver on these projects and more, over the next four years.

We live in the best county in the state of Minnesota. I am committed to expanding on the attributes of our area and will maintain Washington County as a desirable, affordable and prosperous place to live and run a business.  I believe with my whole heart and mind that I am the best candidate for this office. I will attend all meetings, be prepared, listen more than speak, represent all communities equally, be fiscally responsible and will always act in an honest and ethical manner.

Julie Ohs - Washington County Board District 2 candidate, Woodbury
