Ensemble Adventure performance

As Part of the Guardian Angeles Catholic Church summer concert series, Ensemble Adventure will perform their eclectic, world music on Friday, Aug. 17, at 7 p.m. Drinks and light snacks will be available and the dance floor will be open. Teen Crafternoon: CD sun catchers

The Lake Elmo Library, 3537 Lake Elmo Ave. N., is hosting a crafting event for teens Wednesday, Aug. 15, from 3 to 4 p.m. Participants will spend a crafty afternoon at the Lake Elmo Library making CD sun catchers with provided supplies. This event is for teens ages 12 and up. 

 

STEM Saturdays: frogs, volts and vinegar

On Saturday, Aug. 18, from 1 to 2 p.m., the Oakdale Library, 1010 Heron Ave. N., is hosting an event inspired by Mary Shelley, who wrote “Frankenstein.” Participants can learn about the scientists and experiments that sparked Shelley’s imagination and brought about some important inventions along the way. STEM Saturdays: take apart party

Participants of this event taking place Saturday, Aug. 11, from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. will see how electronics work on the inside by taking them apart at Lake Elmo Library, 3537 Lake Elmo Ave. N. Safety goggles, electronics and tools will be provided. This event is for children ages 6 through 12.
