Matt Funk, owner of Wireless Zone in Mendota Heights, was recently recognized at the brand’s annual convention for his outstanding performance at his five locations and 10 years with the brand. Out of more than 345 locations, Funk was recognized as the top performer and franchisee.

“The 10-year recognition puts into perspective the time and dedication I’ve made to not only Wireless Zone but the industry as a whole,” Funk said.

Besides running his businesses, Funk finds it important to give back to the local community. Funk and his team raised $2,000 for Minnesota Outdoor Adventure Foundation last month.

Funk said as a small business owner, the community is an integral part of his business.

“Giving back to the community provides an extended connection to the members of the community and a deeper understanding of how my business can be successful,” Funk said.

Besides this fundraiser, Funk and his team organize backpack drivers and local career fairs.
