Actors Theater of Minnesota will present “Miracle on Christmas Lake” Dec. 1 - 23 in The Cabaret at Camp, located at 490 N. Robert St. in downtown St. Paul.
Set in the small Minnesota town of Christmas Lake, the local theater is gearing up for their winter production of “It’s a Wonderful Life” when they get the news that the rights to perform their show have been pulled! With only one day left to find a new show and cast, Collin, played by Peyton Dixon, and his wife Tess, played by Marci Lucht, must search the town to find anyone willing to learn a new show in less than 24 hours. With the theater facing financial problems and Tess and Collin’s marriage on thin ice, it’ll take a miracle to get to opening night.

Written by local playwright Jessica Lind Petersen, “Miracle on Christmas Lake” originally premiered in 2008 at Yellow Tree Theatre, based on what had just happened during their inaugural season when rights for their holiday show were pulled.

Directed by John Haynes, the cast also features Siri Hellerman as Martha, Micahel Ooms as Neil, and Charla Marie Bailey as Gloria and Mrs. Burlington. The production team includes Seri Johnson as costume designer, Robin McIntyre as set designer, Shanna Fraiser as director’s assistant, and Benjamin Schultz as stage manager.

Filled with laughs, plot twists and heartwarming holiday cheer, “Miracle on Christmas Lake” is a story about coming together and remembering what is important during the holidays.
