Adult game night

Come to the Oakdale Public Library Nov. 16 from 6 to 8 p.m. to play tabletop games with fellow game enthusiasts. The library will provide games ranging from Uno and Connect Four to Splendor and Carcassonne, or you can bring your own to share. The Oakdale Library is located at 1010 Heron Ave. N.

 

Take Apart Party, 

The Oakdale Public Library is hosting a Take Apart Party Nov. 18 from 2-3 p.m. See how electronics work on the inside by taking them apart. Participants will be provided with tools, safety goggles, and old electronics to dissect and explore. For ages 8-12, registration is required. The Oakdale Library is located at 1010 Heron Ave. N. Painting Pet Portraits

Come to the Oakdale Public Library Nov. 18 from 3:30 to 5 p.m. and experiment with different kinds of painting, drawing and collage materials to make a unique, colorful and fun portrait of your favorite pet or animal. Various pattern, texture and mark-making techniques will be covered and multiple images created to take home. No need to bring your pet, just a picture to work from. Art supplies will be provided. Oakdale indoor market

The Oakdale indoor market is hosted at the Oakdale Discovery Center on alternating Saturdays November through March. The next market will be held Nov. 25. and will offer products from over 20 local vendors including baked goods, jams, cheeses, meats, canned goods, sweets, salsas, strudels, jewelry, essential oils and more. The Discovery Center is located at 4444 Hadley Ave. N., Oakdale.
