Spring hydrant flushing in Shoreview

On Monday, April 18, Shoreview utility maintenance crews will begin the biannual hydrant flushing program around the city to clean sediment from water mains and ensure proper operation of hydrants and valves.

Residents may notice a color change in your tap water following the flushing of the water main. The discoloration is normal and will last only a short time after the nearby hydrants have been flushed. The discolored water is safe for drinking, but you may choose to reschedule laundry or other work that may be affected by discoloration. For have any questions, call 651-490-4660.
